TranslateX ("Extension") is a free Chrome browser extension designed to translate text on web pages and video subtitles into the user's preferred language. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it uses that information, and how it protects user privacy.

The extension processes text content explicitly selected by the user for translation only during the translation operation. This text is not stored anywhere after the operation is complete.

The extension stores the following data only on the user's own device. This data is never transmitted to any server:
TranslateX does not download or execute any external JavaScript files. All application code is contained within the extension package and has been reviewed by the Chrome Web Store. The extension communicates with translation services only through standard REST HTTP requests.
When the video subtitle translation feature is used, the subtitle text displayed on screen is sent to the translation service. The URL, title, or watch history of the video being viewed is not processed or transmitted in any way. Subtitle text is not stored on the device after translation is complete.
TranslateX does not knowingly collect any data from individuals under the age of 13. The extension is a general-purpose translation tool and does not offer content specifically directed at children.
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. For significant changes, an announcement will be made on the extension's Chrome Web Store page. Continued use of the extension constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
